Whether you’re an amateur or seasoned professional our country needs you to unleash your creativity!

There’s a $5,000 prize for the most engaging video in each category: voting, democracy, climate, equality, healthcare, liberty, public safety, the Supreme Court, song, dance. You can enter to win as many videos as you’d like.

THE CHALLENGE
The Spark the Vote Social Media & Film Challenge is a non-partisan, nonprofit campaign that brings the power of social media and creative filmmaking to inspire voter turnout. Nothing moves people more than personal stories, spoken from the heart.
Whether you’re passionate about democracy, climate, healthcare, or equality - this Challenge is for you! Simply create a short video about WHY YOU VOTE, post it on social media, and submit your post for a chance to win an award.
To be eligible for the #SparkChallenge, your videos should inspire voter registration or voter turnout.
Videos MAY NOT discuss any candidates, political parties or be considered electioneering in any way.

Create, post on your socials using the hashtag #SparkChallenge and submit your entries for our Spark The Vote Social Media & Film Challenge by October 6th at 11:59pm ET/8:59pm PT in order to be officially entered into and qualify for The Challenge awards.

Why? We want to flood the internet the weekend before National Voter Education Week to inspire people to make sure they are registered and vote this year!
The #SparkChallenge kicks off our seven week Why Do You Vote? Social Action Campaign with a big social media blitz to Get Out The Vote by November 5th!
From now until election day, November 5th, like, share and comment on all the #SparkChallenge videos you see on socials. The more traction they get, the more voters we inspire!
Sparking the vote together, we’ll light the internet on fire with voting for a future we all believe in!
You can still do your part for democracy by making more #SparkChallenge videos up until election day, they just won’t be eligible for our awards…
